Building Maintenance Division

Duties & Responsibilities


The Department of Building Facilities Management maintains all public buildings, including schools, with a staff of licensed mechanics including plumbers, electricians, and construction supervisors who repair mechanical systems and structural elements.

The department develops a five-year plan for all building repairs. Work on other public buildings is done on an as-needed basis. This would include Pine Knoll camp facility which consists of seven buildings and all water and sewer pump and distribution stations.
