Town Clerk-Collector-Treasurer Fee Schedule
The Town Clerk is the chief election official. The Clerk supervises voter registration, election officers, and upholds the standards for all to exercise their right to vote, conducts the annual town census and prepares the street list of residents.
The Clerk directs the preparation of ballots, polling places, voting equipment, voting lists, certifies nomination papers and initiative petitions. The Clerk also serves on the Board of Registrars and administers campaign finance laws.
The Town Clerk is the keeper of the records and is responsible for records dating 1894 to present, including births, marriages, and death records. Business certificates, dog licenses, fuel tank licenses and other documents are issued and maintained in the Clerk’s Office.
The Town Clerk administers the oath of office to all town officials whether they are elected or appointed. At Town Meeting the Town Clerk has the responsibility to certify accurate minutes, amendments and verify votes taken.
The Town Clerk is a Justice of the Peace and the office staff provides Notary Public services.
The Collector is responsible for collection of real estate taxes, personal property taxes, motor vehicle excise taxes, boat excise taxes, water/sewer billing and other departmental account.
The Collector also researches and prepares Certificates of Municipal Liens

The Treasurer is responsible for the management of town funds, receiving and the distribution of cash, debt obligations, investing and banking.
The Treasurer is also responsible for taking custody of tax deeds or instruments of taking and maintaining records on all properties in tax title.
