Collector / Treasurer
The Collector is responsible for collection of real estate taxes, personal property taxes, motor vehicle excise taxes, boat excise taxes, water/sewer billing and other departmental accounts.
The Collector also researches and prepares Certificates of Municipal Liens.

THE TOWN OF EAST LONGMEADOW ISSUES QUARTERLY TAX BILLS
Each tax billing contains two bill stubs. Tax bills that are due August 1st and November 1st are mailed together. Tax bills that are due February 1st and May 1st are mailed together. There will not be separate mailings of tax bill so please keep the bill stub in a convenient place to use when they are due. If the due date falls on a holiday or weekend, then the next business day with be the due date.
The first two bills are preliminary bills and the second two are actual bills that reflect the current fiscal year's tax rate and valuation for your property.
Payments after hours may be placed in the drop box located at the front of Town Hall in the doors facing the Rotary. Mail payments to: 60 Center Square, East Longmeadow, MA 01028

Please remember to keep your copy of the bill in a safe place for your income tax records.
If you wish to contest your valuation, please be sure to file your request for abatement with the Assessor's Office before February 1st. Questions about valuation or mailing address changes should be directed to the Assessor's Office: 413-525-5400 ext 1600

THE DUE DATES WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:
1st Quarter: AUGUST 1st – Preliminary
2nd Quarter: NOVEMBER 1st – Preliminary
3rd Quarter: FEBRUARY 1st – Actual
4th Quarter: MAY 1st – Actual
There will be two mailings:
The first will be mailed by July 1st and will include the two Preliminary bills (Due for August 1st and November 1st)
The second will be mailed by January 1st and will include the two Actual bills (Due for February 1st and May 1st).
If the due date falls on a holiday or weekend, then the bill will be due on the next business day.
