To the Citizens of East Longmeadow:

2008 was a transformative year for ELCAT, beginning with the implementation of digital production and broadcasting and ending with a greatly expanded weekly programming lineup that has grown to include coverage of five town boards, regular coverage of ELHS Varsity Sports, Senior Center events,   East Longmeadow history, High School Musical programs, as well as significant town  events.

Throughout the year, the emphasis has been  on improvements at every level, from audio quality,  graphics and  studio equipment, to the variety and quality of the content itself.  And perhaps the most important improvement has been the growth in interest and commitment on the part of new adult and student volunteers, production assistants and community producers, whose energy and ideas have laid a strong foundation for  ELCAT's  continued development into  an active and productive Community Access Television Station in new year. The improvements you see on ELCAT are  the fruit of their hard work, and I am grateful for their help and support.

We invite anyone with an interest in  producing television for your community to please come learn about how to participate in this great community resource.

 “Don't watch Television.  Make Television.”

Respectfully Submitted,
