The mission of the East Longmeadow Housing Authority is to provide decent, safe, affordable housing for the low income elderly, veterans, disabled and families. The Authority offers priorities to East Longmeadow residents and veterans. The Authority was established in 1959 and provides housing for over 219 low income tenants, and runs four housing programs which include Elderly, Congregate, MRVP and Family.
The Housing Authority shall consist of four members appointed by the Town Manager serving terms of five years, one expiring each year. The fifth member is appointed by the state to a five-year term.
