Representatives from the Assessor’s Office are currently working in town visiting homes that were issued building permits in the past 12 months along with any open permits from a prior year. Any permit taken out for interior improvements will require an interior inspection in order to determine the scope of the project and the percentage of completion by June 30th. Any permit for exterior inspection do not need interior inspection.
The representatives will carry Town of East Longmeadow identification. Measurements of any new construction and a photo of the exterior of the property will complete the inspection process. This inspection program is anticipated to continue through the middle of July. The Board of Assessors is committed to providing fair and equitable assessments to all property owners.
