[ARCHIVED] Elm Street Reconstruction

Please be advised that on Monday July 7, 2014 East Longmeadow will begin preparatory work for a major project to reconstruct Elm Street from the East Longmeadow rotary to the Springfield line. Major reconstruction activities will start on July 14, 2014.

Utility and structure work will start near the East Longmeadow rotary and progress to the north with local road closures likely south of Mapleshade Road during the first 2 to 3 weeks of construction.
Drivers should expect considerable delays beginning on July 14, 2014 when travelling along Elm Street in East Longmeadow. The project is expected to last approximately one month and will be completed in phases with work to start at the rotary and move northerly along Elm Street towards Springfield. Drivers are strongly encouraged to seek alternate routes when travelling between East Longmeadow and Springfield including North Main Street, Harkness Avenue, and Allen Street to Parker Street.

Please contact the East Longmeadow DPW at 513-525-5400 ext 3 with any questions regarding this project.
