The East Longmeadow Board of Assessors is reminding all business owners their Personal Property Form of List should be completed and return no later than March 1, 2016. The Form of List must be filed each year by all individuals, partnerships, associations, corporations, limited liability companies that own or hold taxable personal property on January 1st.

All information supplied is confidential and protected from public disclosure in accordance with MA General Laws CH. 59 S 32.

If you do not file a Form of List for the fiscal year, the assessors cannot grant an abatement for overvaluation of personal property for that year. If you file your Form of List late penalties may occur. You can avoid these penalties by filing a complete return timely. [CH 59 S29].

The Form of List is now available for your convenience on the town website at www.eastlongmeadowma.gov under Government-Department-Assessors-Forms-Personal Property and available in the assessor’s office.
