On March 16, 2020, the East Longmeadow Fire Department had suspended open burning so the fire department could focus their response activities during the Covid – 19 pandemic emergency. With the state of emergency still in effect and not ending before DEP’s open burning season ends on May 1, 2020, the East Longmeadow Fire Department will honor the 2020 open burning permit in 2021. Please hold on to your 2020 permit for use in 2021.
