PROJECT UPDATES

August 2024: Welcome back, students, parents, and staff! Exciting progress has been made on construction enabling since the start of summer. We look forward to welcoming our students and families back while accommodating the new school construction. Please see our 2024 Fall Student/Parent Quick Guide for an overview of what to expect when returning to campus this fall.

June 2024: Construction enabling beings! Sitework is required to prepare for constructing the new East Longmeadow HS. Work areas during this phase are the fields behind the existing HS building. Construction work hours will be Monday through Friday and follow local bylaws. Overtime and Saturday work may be required as the schedule develops. Material deliveries and other work will be coordinated around the school and traffic schedules. See Monthly Construction Update Issue #1 June 2024 here for more details. Monthly construction updates are to be posted on the project website on the last Friday of each month. . Please see our 2024 Summer/Fall Student/Parent Quick Guide for details on logistics and what students and parents can expect this summer and fall. 

April 2024: Community Forum hosted on Thursday, April 11th, to provide design update, an introduction to the Fontaine Brothers Construction Management team, construction schedule and a construction overview. View the presentation and watch the ELCAT recording here.
