Setting Sewer Rates

The sewer rate for the Town of East Longmeadow is set annually by the Town Council. View the complete current charges and fees schedule.

As of July 1, 2023, the rate for sewer will be $4.10 per 100 cubic feet of sewage. As we do not have sewer meters as a part of our system, the charge for disposing of waste water is based upon the amount of water that enters your home through the water meter in your basement. One hundred cubic feet of sewage is equal to 748 gallons of sewage.

Minimum Charges

For consumers who use less than 1000 cubic feet of sewer per billing cycle, there is a minimum charge of $41.00

The sewer rate covers the cost of sewage disposal at Bondi’s Island in Agawam, and for the upkeep and maintenance of the underground sewer pipeline system, as well as the seventeen sewer lift stations located throughout Town.
