Conservation Commission

The Conservation Commission administers East Longmeadow’s general by-laws Chapter 424, conservation by-laws, and enforcement, as well as 310 CMR. The Conservation Commission is responsible for protecting East Longmeadow’s natural resources including wetlands and selected open space lands.

In cooperation with the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, the East Longmeadow Conservation Commission administers and enforces the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act and the Massachusetts Rivers Protection Act

Public Service Announcement: By order of the Conservation Commission, hunting in conservation lands owned by the Town of East Longmeadow is prohibited. These lands are to be used exclusively for the safe and quiet enjoyment by East Longmeadow residents while also protecting the natural environment.
