Planning Board

The Planning Board of East Longmeadow is the Special Permit Granting Authority and sole approvers of residential, commercial, and business subdivisions, as well as ANR plans. The Planning and Community Development Department staff serves as the professional and technical staff for the processing of applications for those types of projects.

All Statutes, powers and duties of the Planning Board are prescribed in M.G.L. chapter 41, sections 70 to 72 and 81A to 81I, inclusive, as amended.

Appointed Members & Terms

The Planning Board has five (5) members serving staggered five (5) year terms - one (1) member appointed each year. Board members are appointed by the Town Manager.
