Services Available

The Council on Aging offers a variety of health-related services on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis. Please consult the monthly newsletter for information on:

• Hearing screenings
• Pedicures with registered nurses ($40)
• Blood pressure readings
• Alzheimer’s support group
• Special events with guest speakers

Health Equipment Loaning Closet

If you are in need of borrowing medical equipment please contact The Hampden County Sheriff's Department at 413-858-0060. They have medical equipment to be loaned out. They are also able to drop off and pick up items. The Pleasant View Senior Center does not take donations of any medical supplies.

Fitness Center

Our fitness center is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm for ages 60 and older. You will need to sign an Assumption of Risk form and have a Medical Clearance form signed by your physician.

You will also need to be instructed on the proper use of the equipment by a COA staff member.

All participants must purchase a multi-visit card. The cost is $10 for 20 visits for East Longmeadow residents and $15 for non-residents.
