Real Estate and Personal Property Tax

The Town of East Longmeadow issues quarterly Real Estate Tax and Personal Property Tax bills in a Fiscal Year.

The Fiscal Year runs from July 1st to June 30th.

Real Estate and Personal Property tax due dates are as follows:

•   Quarter 1 due August 1st
•   Quarter 2 due November 1st
•   Quarter 3 due February 1st
•   Quarter 4 due May 1st

The 1st and 2nd Quarter bills are preliminary bills based on the previous fiscal year tax rate. The 3rd and 4th Quarter bills are actual bills based on the current fiscal year’s tax rate.

Tax bills are issued 30 days before they are due. If the due date falls on a weekend or holiday, the due date will be the next business day.

Water/Sewer Bills

Water/Sewer bills are issued by the Department of Public Works approximately every three months. There are six water districts in town, each with different billing cycles. Please contact the DPW at 413-525-5400 ext. 1200 for more information.

Motor Vehicle, Trailer, and Boat Excise Tax Bills

Excise bills are issued several times throughout the year. The first commitment of excise is usually issued in February.
